Alkaline Electrolysis is a Useful Method ?

Alkaline water was a hot topic when the home drinking water industry was discussing the harmful effects of the increased use of chlorine in drinking water. Studies showed that there was an increase in the risk of stomach illnesses and arthritis. The presence of chlorine can cause an increased pH value and decrease the strength of the ionic bonds in water. Weak alkaline water is the one that has the least effect on our body chemistry because it does not change the pH value and the ionic bonds do not become weaker, so the water does not cause any harm to us.

There are different kinds of alkaline electrolysis methods that one can employ for getting alkaline electrolyzed water. The most common method is the ion exchange method. In this method, there is the use of electrically charged beads to create a reaction where the negative and positive charges in the cells are replaced by the ions and the water is voided. The most important thing is that the alkaline electrolyzed water must be kept in a sealed container so that it does not mix with the acidic or base water. For this reason, the most effective alkaline electrolysis method is the carbon dioxide conversion method.

Carbon dioxide is converted into water, using a process that forces carbon dioxide molecules through a small opening where they are absorbed by acidifying water. The carbon dioxide content of the alkaline electrolytic water should not exceed 0.3% to create safe and effective drinking water. Although this method takes a long time to produce enough alkaline water for a household, you will save a lot of money because you do not need to buy expensive bottled water. For your information, the ph value of the alkaline water is slightly higher than that of the regular water. This is because the hydrogen atoms have two extra shells, thus they can combine with other substances in the water to make new compounds called radicals.
